Meet Nakia.  She was rescued as an injured stray in Highland Park. She appeared to have been attacked by a large dog.  It was a bitter cold January night and she is just SO grateful to be rescued.  She doesn't use her right back leg and we are hoping with time she will regain use of it.  She gets around just fine on her 3 legs and will use the 4th for balance.  Don't let her leg issue stop you from adopting this sweet girl!  Our Rescue will cover the cost of whatever is needed to be done for her leg.  She has tested positive for FIV but she gets along great with other cats and as long as they are friendly, there is no issue.  She is definitely a lap cat who LOVES to be petted and brushed.  We are hoping there is that special someone who will give her the home and love she deserves.  Are you the one she was rescued for?
