Sam Elliott is a very special kitty and deserves a very special home. He is sweet, goofy boy. Sam loves being with his people. He will be the first to jump up on the couch to lay next to you. He has a loud purr once you start petting him. Sam flops at your feet for tummy rubs. Sam loves to play with toys. He likes to carry them around and drop them into water bowls, shoes, and boxes. He gets the zoomies and runs around the house. Same loves to wrestle and chase the other cats. He is a bit of an instigator and likes to pick on the girls. He loves our male cat and follows him everywhere. His perfect home would have a male cat friend that is confident and friendly. Before you think Sam is the perfect kitty for you, there are a few things you need to know. Before Sam came to LOCRA, he had a rough life. I don’t know exactly what happened but it was not good. He was extremely shy and terrified. He hid most of the time. When he did come out, he crawled low to the ground so we wouldn’t notice him. We eventually noticed he was limping. After a few vet visits, we found out he had trauma to his spine. It causes him limp on his back left leg and a dead tail. However, this has not stopped him from living his best life. He has come out of his shell (with the help of our male cat) and wants to be a part of everything. The only thing he struggles with is jumping on to higher places but has figured out how to climb. He is now an expert climber. Sam is a wonderful kitty and would love to find a family of his own. He would do best with older kids as he sometimes likes to nibble during belly rubs.
